About Me & My Values
Mark Parsons
Repair Specialist
Corstorphine, Edinburgh
I established fixITguy.co.uk to provide straightforward, highly experienced technical assistance directly to the local community. I don't believe in baffling people with corporate jargon or overcomplicating things—tech support should be reliable, fair, and friendly.
I am now retired having worked in the NHS for 35 years. I worked in Procurement for most of this time and I was responsible for the department's IT Systems and Process Team. We managed the department's website and all the IT Systems we used as a department. I was responsible for the department's IT hardware and ensuring everything was working as it should.
Personally, I have always been interested in computers from the very early days of PC's with the likes of Sinclair Spectrums and BBC Microcomputers etc etc and have since spent many, many hours repairing / building and upgrading PCs.
As stated, I am now retired but still enjoy PC's and it is now a little hobby of mine which enables me to make a little bit of extra spending money. My prices therefore will generally be way cheaper than businesses as I have no overheads (I work from home) and I am not trying to make a living from it.
If I take on your computer and it cannot be successfully repaired, you will not owe me a single penny. I pride myself on complete transparency, giving you an honest appraisal of whether a machine is worth upgrading or if it's time to recover the data and move on.
